Take Them In and Clean Them Off

I’m avoidant, convinced that I’m inherently out of place and throughout the years I’ve learned to adore that, need it. I was on my way to living a split life – I’d have my facade for others and my inner world for when I was alone – like most of us. By chance, by fearless embrace of my sexuality, I was plucked from that game. Some angelic figure found me filthy and overgrown on the side of some road and decided to take me in, clean me off, and dress me in his clothes.
